In other words, if you remove an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the very same domain name, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be vital in case you are running some business, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited messages, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filtering software in order to get only real emails in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

If you’ve got a web hosting plan with our company and you’d like to enable the catch-all functionality for a given e-mailbox that you’ve got in your hosting account, it’ll take literally only one single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to accomplish this. A catch-all button is available to the right of each email address that you have set up under any domain hosted in the account. You can select one single email address per domain by clicking on the corresponding button. This will enable the feature right away, so all messages sent to miswritten addresses will be delivered there. Clicking the button again will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you have active email forwarding, our system will exhibit a warning note and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature till you disable the forwarding or you can simply choose a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all functionality can be activated without effort in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve created with the domains hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll see a tiny logo conveniently situated right next to each of them. With just one click of the mouse, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your desire on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain name with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and activate this option using the context menu that will come into view. If any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will inform you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
